Hi, I'm attempting to connect my Yamaha 01X digital mixer to my Mac Pro. I've installed the drivers and I can see the device in the Firewire Devices but the application/ driver doesn't seem to launch. Any ideas?

I have had the same problem and it seems Yamaha have stopped supporting the 01x & mLan drivers, beyond OS 10.5. Looked everywhere but cannot find a workaround. If you can run Tiger on another machine dedicated to your 01x maybe?
Frankly disgusted with Yamaha for this total support failure. My 01x is only 4 years old, and is now an expensive doorstop.
If anyone knows of a solution, would love to hear it.

I know the feeling Dan, I have had 5 of these desks over the years and currently own two in my set up. Due to my Lepoard machine going down and the repair costs too high I decided to upgrade to new machine and hey presto, nothing works??? These desks are fantastic once you know the capabilities of them so *** have Yamaha pulled the plug on them? I'm left with two mint condition desks that have no use at all can't justify getting rid of them for a couple of hunded quid so what do I do? If you look around Ebay and such there are lots of these desks going for sale and i reckon that it's down to this future incompatibility with apple 0S. There must be loads of people having this same issue with the 01x and it's unfair having spent thousands on Yamaha & Apple products for them to just bail out and leave us owners in the lurch. Please Yamaha & Apple (& I'm sure I speak for lots of unhappy people here) sort out the compatability issues with Lion and future 0S updates with the 01X as we need something developing fast.
