Would I be able to fit a ZIF-to-IDE connector in an iPod Photo case without modifying the case?

Due to the lower prices of ZIF drives, I'd like to look at changing my iPod Photo's hard drive, which has seen better days, for a ZIF 60 or 80 GB drive.
And, to clarify, I have a 60 GB Photo, so the thicker case is already in place.
