Canon MP495 appearing to be offline, Canon MP495 appearing to be offline

I recently purchased a Canon MP495 printer. I installed the drivers and software on my computer (an Intel iMac), and the printer works fine when connected via USB, however when I try to print with the USB disconnected via WiFi the pop-up window says the printer is offline. I know for a fact this is not true, as I printed out a page from the printer itself (not the iMac) that shows the network status, and show it's connected. I've also try deleting the printer drivers, clicking on add printer, and trying to select the printer as a bonjour printer, but it only shows the scanner, not the printer.

Help would be very much appreciated 🙂
