my account says "we'll be right back"

my account says "we'll be right back"

When logged in as myself, I cannot get on to Apple Support Communities. Every time I go there, I get the "We'll be Right Back" message. However, this only seems to happen when logged in as me. I had to log on to my wife's account to ask this question and, as you can see, it works just fine.

In both instances I am using the same computer (iMac 27" i7 running OSX 10.6.7) and the same browser (Safari).

Very odd. Please help if you can!

No. My account (the one that does not work) is my email address and a simple password and her account, this one, is her email address and a simple password. both passwords are 1 number and some lowercase letters.

Hi, Chris -

A member's alias is the public name that appears alongside any message they post in these Discussions. The account you've been using in this thread, your wife's account, displays the alias "chrisiam".

What is the alias (the public name) for your account, the account that you can't log in with?

Yes. Wow!. I may have created two in the past so I'm not sure if that's the one associated with my current account. The most important thing to me is that it is the one associated with my iTunes, App Store, Mobileme, etc.

Also, I get the same response - "We'll be Right Back" - no matter where I log in from: my computer, my iPad, someone else's computer. In addition, I am able to sign in to my account for other reasons (support for Apple Care on the website, through iTunes, App Store, etc).

Hi, Chris -

Does the alias or login ID or password for your account contain any 'special' characters, meaning slashes or accent marks or any other characters accessed via an Option-keystroke?
