Burn CDs WITHOUT iTunes?

Is there a way to burn songs & albums in mp3 format onto back up CDs WITHOUT using iTunes? I heard that iTunes limits the number of times you can burn a song, I believe it was 5 times. Is this true?

I want the freedom to burn my music on as many back up CDs, as many times as I'd like. If there is a way to burn, without limitation? If so, please share.

I've got a MacG5 dual drive with the Mac Tiger OS X (10.4).
