10.6.7 using Smart Addresses inbox missing contact names

MacBook Pro 10.6.7 Apple Mail Using the preference "Smart Addresses" inbox From shows email address NOT contact name of Address Book. For example; In the Message Viewer Inbox From shows stevejobs@apple.com it should show Steve Jobs. However, when you view the actual full message the Header shows the correct contact name. These are NOT new contact names, these contact names has been in my Address Book for months if not years. Some have one email address and some have two emails address under their contact name in my Address Book. Is there some setting I need to change?
