I have an ipad with no sim and have downloaded the Kindle app for ipad. I need to register the app - is there a way to do this via a pc (no sim)? thanks

Can you not register it via your wifi network, using the 'i' button on the bottom right corner of the app, and then select Settings ?
Easy. Go into the kinle app. I assume you already have an amazon account. If not, create one by going to the store and trying to buy a book. If you have an existing account it will work fine. Buy a book, and the process will recognize that you are on a different device, and there will be an option to geister this new device. After you register, the book will be delivered straight to the i pad via wifi. You do not need 3 g.
