Bootcamp ATI drivers - Portal 2

I have a macbook pro 15" with AMD Radeon HD 6750M. I installed Windows 7 enterprise using bootcamp, the apple drivers and then the latest ATI mobile drivers. Older games like Star Wars Empire at war run, but new games like portal 2 crashed. I installed Portal 2 on a PC with an nVidia card and it run correctly.

I'm wondering if this is due to the integrated Intel graphic card beeing able to run the older game but not Portal 2 and the system not beeing able to automatically switch the graphic card to the discrete one. Is there any tool to set the graphic card to use under bootcamp ?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Yesterday I installed update 3 of Portal 2 and it now runs correctly.

But I would like to have something to know which graphic card is in use and to choose the one I want.

I suspect that only the discrete graphic card is used under bootcamp and this leads to a bigger amount of power consumption even when it's not needed

Hi,

graphics card switching is still not supported in BootCamp.

Maybe some time in the future.

Right now it is always the bigger/better/stronger/faster/... one that is used.

You can update your drivers by making a new CD/DVD by Bootcampassistant on iOS.

Make sure to manuallly download the latest Catalyst driver. You may need to unpack/unzip to load the drive in Device Manager if the installer won't.
