Shift + Z

I am attempting to chase down the source of this supposed hotkey issue.

Whenever I attempt to depress the shift key + z key in combination for an uppercase 'Z', I receive the audio alert tone from the speakers.

I am not sure what the culprit is, which has led me to offer my first discussion post.

I can create a new user and the aforementioned key sequence works as expected.

Additionally, I have visited System Preferences>Keyboard>Keyboard Shortcuts and found nothing of merit there. Also, I have triggered Console for various print out queries related to the matter and had no results.

I am not sure which step to take next, but I welcome any suggestions.
