That's quite strange - I am in Australia, and I have been able to access for several hours now.
You should find someone that can download it, and get them to send it to you 😀
You may be able to find it on a download site like cnet or something
😀
Actually, I tried that. Using cnet. That was the first thing I tried when this site didn't work. But it sent me here, to find that same error waiting for me! LOL. I even tried Ccleaner. Still nothing.
Removed, somehow went straight to second page of thread and didn't see start.

Not working here in Minnesota either. Windows 7 operating system.
Our apologies but there was an unexpected error with the application. This problem has been noted, and an email has been sent to the administrators. Please check back in a few hours to try the download again.

Not working for 1 hour
I tried to download last night from Nevada. It did not work from either my Mac or Windows 7 PC. I tried going to the support downloads site and could not download the mac or 32 bit version for Windows, but I was able to download the Windows 64 bit version from the support site.
Here is the link for any who need it: http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-0989.20110501.Pr4tg/iTunes64Setup.exe
Today, the iTunes store would not open on the Windows PC or my Mac.
Weird.
For anyone who needs the 32-bit version, I was able to find iTunes 10.2.2 on filehippo.com: http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes_32/
It may need updating later, but it should provide an interim solution until the main Apple download page is working again. I am in the process of installing it myself now, so I can't yet verify that it works, but it seems to be going fine.
Been almost 24 hours now, and still can't download quicktime! Still getting that same sorry error.
Windows Vista 64 bit.
Know another spot to get it that's actually working, anyone?
>> Tried File Hippo. Got redirected to the same Apple Page with the same error, again...

I still haven't been able to download it since last night...I can't make my ipad 2 work because it needs to download the itunes first...not very happy with apple right now...
Why does the box not come with a CD? This is my first Apple product and I'd hoped they were going to be a bit nicer to deal with than Microsoft. I've a useless £400 shiny coaster sitting beside me and I'm getting very cheesed off.
Did you get an Ipad2 as well Pete? Whoever came up with this process on having this product work like this is not the smartest...I will never purchase an apple..if mine wasn't a present...I will send it back...useless piece of &?!
Did you try the link in the post above mine, the non-FileHippo one? This is what aaronfromlas vegas used for the 64-bit iTunes:http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-0989.20110501.Pr4tg/iTunes64Setup.exe
I was able to use the FileHippo link for the 32-bit version -- as an addendum to my earlier post, I have since completed installation, and it's working for me. I never checked the 64-bit version on FileHippo, since aaron had already found a working source, and I don't run 64-bit Windows anyway.
Where was the FileHippo link for the 32 bit version? I have a 32 bit version, using Windows 7. Thanks
Here, just to put them both into one post:
32-bit version, verified by eefster (me) 14:30 GMT -5, found on the external site FileHippo.com: http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes_32/
64-bit version, verified by 'aaroninlas vegas' sometime before 11:55 GMT -5, found on Apple's support/download page: http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-0989.20110501.Pr4tg/iTunes64Setup.exe
I hope that these'll keep working until Apple fixes their own iTunes page.
ETA: I only installed the 32-bit Windows version, on Windows Vista. I have not tried installing any other version.

It looks OK so far.
This boy had better be good when it finally works because at the moment I am anti-apple man.
Here is the link to the Apple hosted iTunes 10.2.2 for 32-bit Windows version: http://appldnld.apple.com/iTunes10/041-0471.20110308.Nzxs2/iTunesSetup.exe
I was able to download from this link, but still not the main iTunes page.
