Why is my email account setting grayed out?

Recently I stopped recieving emails on my ipod touch. The message that appears is "cannot get mail, no password provided for "YAHOO!" please go to mail account settings and enter a password"
however when i go to setting< mail, contacts, calender the accounts area is gray out and I'm unable to select anything.

I 've reboot, I've check my time and such, i've reset my network, I've synced it with itunes...... and I'm still stuck.
