No. If you have already setup/activated FindMyiPhone you may be able to find it. For the 3G you mush purchase a MobileMe subscription to setup FindMyiPhone. Report it to the police and change the password for all accounts used on the iPod
Sorry but no, at least not for any of us of the general public. Apple would have no idea if a request for information from any of us was really legitimate. If an authorized law enforcement agency put in a request to Apple, that might get information of that sort, so you should file a report with your local police if you haven't already.
Regards.
Dave, maybe worded question wrong. I sold my iPod Touch and was never received by the buyer and I was wondering if the person was to re-register the iPod using the serial number I used to register the iPod could Apple identify the person when I contact Apple with the serial #, user ID and password? If not, why is the serial # needed at registration?
Apply probably can do that. However, Apple is not in business of recovering stolen property. If you had a court order probably yes.
Hi, Leslie,
I understood the question. Again, though, Apple for reasons of privacy will not provide you with that sort of information. They can give information about someone else only to authorized law enforcement agencies, and as lllaass said, quite probably only with a court order.
Do you not have any sort of tracking information for the shipment of your iPod?
Regards.
