My lock button on my iPhone 4 doesn't and my Facebook app kickes me off all the time and so does wifi. I got the apple iCare plan and i was wondering if i could either get it fixed or trade it in 4 the new white one it looks so much better.

You should first try the basic troubleshooting steps described in the User Guide:
Restart phone
Reset phone
Restore in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
If the last step doesn't help, you have a hardware failure, and you need to make an appt with an Apple Store Genius Bar. If they determine that your problem is covered by the warranty (including AppleCare), you will be given a replacement - probably a referb unit. You don't get to "trade in" for another model (i.e. White)
