How do I get a song to stop at the end in garageband on ipad 2?

I really wish the Apple team would fix this. It's one of those nagging things that was overlooked, I would imagine, and no one but musicians that perform would notice.

Anyway, my workaround is this. I just put a really long silent space at the end of the song giving me time to stop it before it loops.

Hey ipad/garageband team - How about a new release of gargageband?

Use the end of project marker ( purple triangle, top right in time line at the end of your project ) move it to the end of your song. You could start song with cycle on, then turn it off . If it's off it won't start over and it should stop at the purple triangle.

I'm sorry too Ralph, I chimed in too soon . I don't have an iPad. I think it should have something maybe not purple, It would be just above your first track where the numbers are at the top of the play head. Zoom out (if you can) and scroll right past your recorded area. That is where it should be. Also try keyboard shortcut, option Z , that should take you to the end of project.

Ok, I know it’s been a while since this originally posted but is there an answer to this? I still can’t figure out how to prevent a song from automatically looping when it reaches the end on my iPad 2.

Have you heard anymore about this. I'm having the same problem and would like to know if it can be done.

The other option is to export the tune to iTunes and play it from a playlist, for example, rather than from within GB. Nevertheless an option not to loop playback would be nice.
