I've updated to 4.3.3 and battery life seems to be better then it was on 4.3.1 or 4.3.2. Just thought I'd put that out here. My iPhone doesn't get warm is standby anymore either. How's yours since the update?

It has been less than a day.

I figured someone would say that, but battery life on mine was horrid dropping 5-10% an hour with no usage. It doesn't seem to drop like that now

    that really good news...

No offense, but I find it funny how there is a new post after every single iOS update about battery life getting worse or better. It is most likely that these minor updates such as this one does not affect the battery life in any way. There might be some change perhaps in the iOS 5, even bigger with the next iPhone.

It is strange isn't it.  But still perplexing when your phone is functioning a certain way (good or bad) before the update.  And without doing anything different (other than doing just the update), your phone starts functioning differently (good or bad).

Well, I have a feeling that we might be experiencing some placebo in here - and I do own an iPhone 4.

If there wasnt issues with battery drainage in 4.3.2 then why was there post after post about it?

@matteo1234 you will always get the fan-boys talking down to you, there possibly couldnt be anything wrong with an apple product or an update!!

There are posts about battery life, dropped calls, WiFi connections, slower response, faster response, etc. after every update.

I just have a feeling that these observations have more to do with the users phone settings than the iOS update. For example, someone might have 30 apps running in the background, when they update the iOS the phone will start with no apps in the background and the battery seems to drain less etc..

If I would see a mention in the release notes of the latest iOS update of improved battery life on iPhone, I would believe these posts. Unfortunately it is not the case. However, if you want to improve your battery life, there are many things you can do which has been mentioned thousand times in these threads.

Well that doesn't suggest that people are imagining the problems, when I updated to 4.3.2 I noticed I went from 2 days before charging to 1 1/2, not as bad as some of the posts but still a drop

@Magic oskari, I always close my apps! my phone has exactly the same apps on it now the only difference is the firmware

When I updated to 4.3.2 I did not notice any change in the battery life at all - and the same is with 4.3.3. Perhaps something has changed in the way you use your phone or you have changes something in the settings after the reset?

Nor do any of these posts show that any of these upgrades had anything to do with battery life, either plus or minus.

I have noticed a massive battery drainage two times on my phone (i've had it for 5 months now) both times were caused by a crashing app making the processor to go wild and using lot of power. That happens if your iPhone gets very hot suddenly. Restarted the phone and that has fixed the problem both times.

How do you know an app crashed causing your processor to go wild? Twice? are you just assuming that was the problem?

Non of my app's have crashed! my phone is exactly the same as it was before the update, settings App's etc, so don't tell me something has changed, it started as soon as i upgraded.

Like I said, there couldn't possibly be anything wrong with an apple product or update... I wonder why Apple created this forum?
