Snow Leopard and Norton Firewall

Yesterday I upgraded my Intel IMac to Snow Leopard. Now I regularly get notices that something has been blocked by Norton Firewall. Then it asks for my password to permit SYMUIAgent to make changes. Should I grant permission? I don't know what SYMUIAgent is, and I've used Norton Firewall for some time. Previously, notice of their blocking something was inobtrusive and in the lower left corner of my screen. Now it's right in the middle of everything so that I have to respond to it.

Thanks for any help/info you can give me.

The solution is to remove Norton from your system. I hate to be that blunt however it simply is unnecessary on your system. OS X has more than enough security built into it and using ancillary security products tend create more problems than they solve. Follow Norton's uninstall instructions and your system should return to normal.
