I have successfully set up my airport express through the Airport utility, but when i try and play music through the the AX it looses signal and then becomes unavailable. I have tried resetting a few times but keeps doing the same thing.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME????? PLEASE

I am also experiencing basically the same issue as you.
Stays connected for awhile, then 'drops off the face of the Earth'. I either have to reboot my iOs devices or unplug the AX to get it to work again.

Having my Airport Express (AE) now for years working without an issue, I am experiencing the described problem also. After restart it comes up OK, but after a few minutes (4-5 minutes) the connected gear (iPhone& Powerbook), is loosing connection. Having the AE unplugged and plugged in again helps for only a few minutes, then it droppes again. The green light stays on however, as if nothing is wrong...
Or the AE is getting at its end (which I do not hope), or it has something to do with a newly installed modem/router, who knows. please help me out. I rebooted both the AE several times, getting both back to default factory settings, etc. Nothing works.

It thus not give me a clue, but I'm no expert.
Is there someone else out there who could help me?
We could try, but let's stop bumping posts over a year old to the top. All this does is mess up the open/closed structure of the forum layout.
Like everyone else, my airport express looses connections;
And after many suggestions... Forums... And "not our problem" responses from Apple...
I can only concur: it's a nice idea, this device, is junk
