can we share apps on two ipads using two different accounts on the same computer?

Apps, video are tied to a specific iTunes account.

You can call the app store and explain your situation but be prepared for them to say no. Even if both devices were yours and you just wanted to change your account name they would give you hassles.....

You can share everything from iTunes on up to five different authorized computers and sync the media to iOS devices. If this truly is not possible then someone should tell that to my iPad.

How do I use apps like words with friends or iMessage when me and my boyfriend share the same computer but have to iTunes accounts. His iPad has my account on all the apps do they have to be downloaded again? I am a windows person so I am not really good with this Mac os and the way iTunes and everything works.

I now have two iPads, which I also (need to) have separate AppleID's for. I understand I can share apps between them if I authorize iTunes on my iMac with both ID's, but I am not quite sure about the correct way to do that. I already have the iMac authorized for AppleID#1. If I go into iTunes and click on Store/Authorize this Computer... and enter my AppleID#2 information into Account name and Password boxes, does this authorize my iMac's iTunes for BOTH ID's or does it just change the authorization from ID#1 to ID#2?

If the former is correct, I understand the way to proceed is to xync up both iPads to iTunes and then I can drag and drop apps from one iPad's library listings to the other, right?

If this is not the correct way to get dual authorizations, what is?

Yes, that is how you authorize the iTunes libraries for multiple Apple ID content. Then you can download, or transfer purchases fro either iPad into this one library. You can also then set up individual syncs to each iPad or the same and iTunes will be able to tell them apart and remember them. When you need to update content, it will need to be done using the Apple ID that acquired it.
