XDCAM HD 422 1080p25

hi i have footage from Sony HDCAM 750p. Which is taken on Nano Flash, now converted by Nano flash to XDCAM HD 422 1080p25.

I need to use it in a Project which is actually a Standard definition Project with the setting of PAL uncompressed 8 Bit.

Now the Frame size or resolution is diffrent as SD is 720*576 and XDCAM is 1920*1080

How can i convet XDCAM footage to fit with my project.

I was trying to find the codecs or plug in to convert or Import the footage in my project but wasnt able to find. :-(

Help please.

Yea

Its working fine

But

the shots are getting pixellete and quality is reducing but use of the Flicker Filter is helping.

Still quality is an issue but usable.

I think its the best we can do with the footage.

Thanx a lot for the help Andy.

Now m trying other ways to use the Compressor too.

If something better than this came out i will share it here.

For better results you might want to try taking a short piece of test footage, apply the setting as described above then switch to the Inspector window and switch Frame Controls on ... now have a play with the controls there a little to see if you can improve the output quality. Perhaps Resize set to Best and Output Fields set to Top First may help. You might also want to try adding a very small (0.5) amount of blur to the original source in FCP before sending that to Compressor.
