Importing video into imovie from LUMIX using Camera connection kit.

People seemed to be dissapointed by the lack of ability to import movies from cameras via connection kit and edit them in imovie. I have found a way which does this using movies filmed in HD on a Panasonic Lumix TZ7 / ZS3.

Set the camera to film in motion JPG HD.

Import into ipad using camera connection kit SD reader.

Place into the ipad Camera roll by opening the video with an app and then saving to the camera roll, I am using TIC-TAC lock ( secret video/photo storage app from the APP store). It may work with any video app that can save the videos to the camera roll.

Voila! they appear in imovies for editing. No conversion/rendering and it is very quick to do.

I have successfully editied and saved the movie using this method.

Cheques/checks in the post please.😎
