Call or contact your credit card and dispute the charges. Tell them this is fraudulent. Also, cancel the card immediately.

Thanks for the response, I just bought the registration 3 hours back and I ahve placed my card into stolen now, so they will issue me a new card, do you think I should still call them to cancel the charges because there are no charges as of now.

You might have to wait until there are any charges, in order to dispute said charges. But call them, anyway and be sure. Can't hurt to tell them you want to dispute it as soon as it posts. Tell them for how much, since it may appear under a completely different name.

I am calling them right now just to make sure that once the card is blocked they dont charge me anything, as long as that is taken care of I can make my piece with 100 bucks.

nisargmehta, you have to ensure you tell your credit card company that you did NOT receive anything (e.g. they will ask you if you received an activation code in any format -- email, pop up, etc., because many people have been conned into this scam).  if you repeatedly insist you received nothing, they can go ahead & dispute the charge.  otherwise, your credit card company will tell you 'we're sorry, but we cannot dispute the charges because you received an activation code' & give you a line about not being responsible for 'quality of product' issues & then advise you to take it up with the vendor directly or in small claims court.  ultimately, if you tell them you did receive an activation code, then you are still on the hook for the $100 'stupid tax'.

After trying a malware program that could not even locate this vicious app, I tried this - and it seems to have worked:

I changed the name of the app in Applications to jjjjjjjjjjj (of course you can use anything as long as none of the original name or ext remains).

I was asked "are you sure you want to change the name while the file is open?" I replied 'yes'.

I was then asked 'are you sure you want to change the ext. while the file is open'. I said 'yes'.

I was then able to drag the file to trash. I emptied it under 'SECURE' empty trash.

It seems that all traces are gone now. Could it really be that easy?

Oh, before I did that, I got rid of 'Google Chrome' because that was where all the **** was coming from, not Safari.

    I hope this is helpful.

I would check the following location.

    Sys Prefs>Accounts>Login Items
