iphone not appearing in itunes

I just installed snow leopard for fear of not be able to sync ical with iphone due to the email notice by apple. I now no longer have my iphone appearing in itunes. Checked usb connection, restarted computer and iphone, have latest version of itunes, tried plugging in other iphones, and nothing. What happened? What do I do? Please help!
