cellular data network not available

Hi,

I purchased an unlocked iPhone4 from Singapore last month (thru online). everything was fine till Friday. i even checked my mails on Friday night. On Saturday morning when I tried to check mail, i suddenly got an error message saying " Could not activate cellular data network: you are not subscribed to a cellular data service", when I checked on my network settings i was not able to find the cellular data network tab ( where we use to input APN manually). i even tried to restore my iPhone to its factory settings and upgraded iOS 4.3.3, Still it remains the same. i cant able to connect to Internet using cellular data. Kindly help me...Plz..

In my case, the Cellular network I use published an update and when I connected my iPhone to PC iTunes asked me to update the cellular network settings and I said Yes. It was only after the cellular network update was applied the setting got vanished. I restored my phone and selected no next time and everything is fine. In US AT&T users also had the same problem. So its a problem with network you use and not the iPhone update.

I have exactly the same problem. Purchased unlocked phone From Regent Street store about a month ago.Since I still had 14 months left on my contract with Virgin I used this card after trimming to size. Everything works apart from email, internet etc. I read elseware that the APN settings may need to be configured but when I go to Settings>General>Network the option is not available. I only have "Enable 3G" "Mobile Data" "Data Roaming" or "Set up Personal Hotspot" Can anyone tell me whether it is a Virgin or Apple problem and how it can be resolved

i too have the same problem but i dint lost that option of that cellular data.the problem i am facing is that i am not able to connect to the internet means its showing me the message that "could not activate cellular data network".this message is displayed everytime when i wish to use the net service through iphone

I have an ATT Iphone 4S, IOS6, which I had unlocked by ATT prior to a trip to Germany. There, I replace the sim card with one from Fonic for phone and data service. Everything worked fine. Back, at home in the US with the ATT sim card back in place, cellular data network was not available. Neither ATT nor Apple was able to help. After researching this website I was able to detect the culprit. Fonic changed the "Profile" in "General" within the "Settings". So, in order to correct the situation, do the reversal, go to "Settings", "General", "Profile" and remove whoever you find there which was installed with the other sim card.
