I have an 20 inch white intel iMac with OS 10.5.8. I have an HP LaserJet 1320n. Recently I began to have problems printing.
When I try to print, my HP 1320 printer application appears in the dock and the printer goes automatically in pause mode.
Can anyone advise please?

The exact same problem here: I have an Intel Macbook which recently I updated to OS 10.6.8.
I started having this problem when I tried setting a new print configuration for an Adobe InDesign document. My HP Laserjet 1300n printer automatically shows up in the dock, set to "Pause". This started happening with all the other applications too.
Any help will be very appreciated.
Andy, Eventually I asked our local Mac repair man to come and fix it and he did. Not sure how. But it's OK now. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Well, finally another guy* from the forum subscribers got a solution, since Apple people put out a supplemental update for OS 10.6.8 — and it worked perfectly. Problem solved!
Hope this works for all those people who had this sort of problem with HP Printers.
