my iPad is locked

My iPad has been locked due to my daughter has set a wrong code so many times, now, my iPad asks me to connect it to iTunes. When i plug it to the computer, iTunes advises me saying this "iTunes couldn´t connect to iPad because iPad is locked wit a security code. Enter the code on the iPad to be able to connect with iTunes" but i cant enter the code because it doesn´t show me any keyboard to insert the code. What can I do?

Yes you can restore using another computer, but you will lose all of the data that you had on it. You can download your purchased apps again at no charge using the same Apple ID that you bouht them with. A paragraph from that article.....

If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device using the computer with which you last synced it. This allows you to reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced with the device, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode, but your data will not be present. Refer to Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software.

She can still restore the device. She just can't restore all of her data. She knows she will lose it all. Read her most recent post again.

This is a copy and paste from Apple's site about a disabled iPad due to a forgotten passcode.

Only at Apple, if I forgot my password to any website in the world there is a way to retrieve it BUT not with your IOS device. No your going to delete all I have purchased and expect me to spend 6 hours waiting for over 50gb of stuff to restore at a USB snails pace... Brilliant... listen I dont know why the code I use to use no longer works, I use it eevry day and some genius is going to say well you forgot it but I still know my postcode so NO I did not forget it. I think this is got to be the stupidest system every devised. If your bank did this to you would walk.
