Belkin share max n300 + ATV 2

I just bought and installed a belkin share max n300. when the atv 2 is hardwired, it has internet connection, but no home sharing. when i disconnect the hardwire, it cannot connect to the network period. i have disabled the router security which was WPA/WPA2/WSP, then tried WEP, then tried nothing? what do i do? if it's hard wired, i have internet connection, NO home share. if not hard wired, I have nothing but SSID that it cannot connect to? I am running latest version of snow leopard, iTunes, and ATV software update. All up to date. Please help!

yes, i have turned home share on and off on both the apple tv 2 and my macbook. the router is 192.168.2.1, the macbook is 192.168.2.3, and the apple tv is 192.168.2.6 when the ethernet cable is connected to apple tv 2 i have internet connection but no home share. Using wifi, the apple tv 2 does not connect to the network period. Macbook is connected ok with internet connection, so is iphone.

Anyone looking to solve this issue.

turned off home share on macbook

restored apple tv 2 fw while hardwired

then after unplugged atv 2

then unplugged router

plugged router back in, waited for it steady.

turned on macbook with home share

plugged in apple tv 2

connected to network after a couple of minutes.

now no problems.

Just thought I would share what worked for me if anyone else has the same problem.

do not know why this worked.
