Yes I have a AEBD and my ipad2 connects to either 802.11n 2.4 or 5.

My ipad 2 would not stay connected to dual band router- never resolved, now have ipad 3 and same problem
iPad: 802.11a/b/g/n, supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, supports WPA2 encryption
