How do i get games such as fallout new vegas to work on macbook pro

I recently bought the new macbook pro its my first mac and i have no clue how to get games to work on i would be so thankfull if anyone could tell me a step by step on what i need to do because i would not find videos where people clearly say what to do. i am i gamer and ive had enought of xbox's and ps3's breaking down on me and i also needed a new laptop so i got the mac i use if for my school work and serching the web but i really would love to play games on it.

This is my Macbook pro:

13 inch

2.3ghz dual core

intel core I5

4gb 1333mhz

320gb 5400-rpm

intel HD Graphics 3000

The game in question is not currently supported by Mac OS X.

That being said you can still use your Macbook Pro to play this game, it simply requires a few additional steps.

Apple has designed a feature called Bootcamp that will allow you to split your internal hard drive into two independant drives, and facilitate you installing Windows to the second partition.

You will need to have a legitimate copy of Windows XP, Vista or 7.

Once Windows is installed you can install your games to THAT OS and play to your hearts content.

I'd like to see the documentation that states you cannot install XP to a 2011 MBP.

I believe that Summer66 is incorrect, but if they would like to prove me wrong I would be more than happy to recant that statement.

so all i need to do is seporate the drive and instal windows and btw which windows works best with mac or does it not matter ? because if it does not matter than ill get xp as it is the oldest and will cost least.

where do i get the widows copy from do u know any webstes where i can get it cheap.

64-bit is probably the most optimal for operating any gaming since it fully utilizes the RAM capacity of your MBP. Most of the programs and the mac OSX all operate in 64-bit mode (at least for 2011 models). I'm sure if anyone out there has a more comprehensive explanation they will chime in.

You also may want to check the system requirements for any games that you want to load in the Windows environment to be sure that you are getting the most out of the experience and/or that you are loading the correct (32 or 64-bit) OS. Good luck!

As long as the disc for XP is Service Pack 2 you will be fine.

I would go for Amazon.

If you have the 2011 MBP, you will need to install Windows 7 - Bootcamp does not support Windows XP. You can try Amazon or any other site that sell legitimate Windows 7 OS. Good luck!
