Ipod shows wifi bars but wont connect to internet

Yah well its really frustrating cuz i want to go on the internet/youtube and my ipod (2nd gen 4.2.1) shows wifi bars but doesnt connect to internet. for youtube it says it cant connect to youtube while with the internet it just loads forever and never finishes. Believe me when i say this...I've tried EVERYTHING reseting my router, ipod network settings, turning off/on ipod, reseting modum, forgeting the network, turning off wifi option, and obviously the router is working cuz im posting this using a laptop which is using internet so i have no idea what to do...
