I sometimes get this message “This page requires AC_RunActiveContent.js.” I’ve reinstalled the newest version of Flash. What should I try next?
It’s pretty annoying, I don’t know what I did to create this problem.
It usually indicates trouble with the coding of the page. But on occasion, it can indicate trouble at our end.
Are you running the AdBlock extension? If so, can you view the page if you temporarily disable AdBlock?
AC_RunActiveContent.js is a javascript that Dreamweaver uses to insert Flash data into a web page. If the owner of the site you are visiting for got to upload this script into his web dir, you will get this error.
Most of the time it is the website's fault.
I don’t think I’m running the adblock extension, but I did find your answer helpful. A couple hours later I noticed that I wasn’t getting the error any more.
