I changed my AppleId online now how do I change the AppleId in my iPhone?

I went online and changed the email address for my AppleID to update it to my new address. Now I am trying to figure out how to change the AppleID in my iPhone so that it uses this new ID with the new email address. I can't find a way to do that. I tried Settings/Store but it only displays my old AppleID and has no way to update it. Any suggestions on how to either reset the AppleID on my iPhone or change it so I can access apps etc. again?

Settings > Store > Sign Out. Sign in with the new ID.

Thanks Paul. This was not very intuitive, but once I did it it worked. There are several things that will throw someone off when they do this because after you sign out it, when you go to sign back in it asks if you want to use the same id again and its not apparent that it will let you change the email address at this point. So, one is more inclined to think they should use the option to create a new one which is the incorrect way to go. But, once I went ahead with the selection to use the same id it allowed me to put in the new email address and everything worked fine from that point on. You answer was perfect, spot on! Thanks for solving the mystery.

I had this exact same problem, and did as you suggested. It worked like a charm for my iTunes, but not for my App Store. I just tried to update an app, it still shows my old AppleID. Suggestions?

I have the same problem as you. My old Apple ID shows up in the App Store when trying to sign on. I've contacted Apple. Still waiting to hear from them. Any other suggestions?

If you're trying to update an app that was purchased under an old ID, it's going to show the old ID and request the password for that ID.

Try syncing you iPhone with iTunes when signed in under you new ID.

I've tried this several times, but when I go to update an app, it still wants to use my old email and password that are no longer working since I updated my appleID account.

If I were to delete the app, and then try to download it again, would it then let me use the new appleid?

Q: I was able to udate my apple ID and updated my new ID on my phone but how do I change it on the icloud, my old id keeps coming up? At this for 2 days nows...help

I have the same problem - I've signed out of my old account and signed in with the new account on iTunes and on my iPhone but when I try to update apps on my phone it insists on requesting my old account. When I try updating the apps using iTunes I get the following message

" Update Unavailable with This Apple ID - This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled"

Does any one have any suggestions?

I tried this:

Settings>iTunes & App Store

Click on displayed AppleID

Click on "Sign Out" in drop down menu

Enter new info in Apple ID and Password

Click "Sign In"
