one trendline for two sets of data in scatter chart

I have a scatter chart with two y values with a common x axis.


I want to create a trendline using both sets of data but everytime i try i get two lines instead of one.


HELP PLEASE!

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7)

Hi angus,


Trendlines apply to a single set of data.

To get a single trendline for two data sets, you will need to combine the two sets into a single set. How you do that depends on how the two sets are related to each other. A more detailed description of the data sets might help determine that and make a reasonable suggestion possible.
