Webdav Apache and umask - my iDisk

I have successfully set up webdav on my computer creating my own personal iDisk. It was very easy, however whenever I upload a file to the iDisk and look at the permissions, it denys write (w) for the www group.

I have found that umask will change how permissions are set for newly created files. This is done on a session basis.

How do I enable umask for my apache installiation so that webdav works as expected. I can not find a umask_module to enable for this to work.
