I did not use any screen protector on my 3gs phone.. let me try insert an image of it.. I saw someone posted a pic of his iphone having air bubbles inside the screen w/out the protector when i googled it..
What do u mean by 'chip'? I tried to google this problem. I also found some people having this type of problem http://www.everythingicafe.com/forum/threads/air-bubble-inside-screen.22533/ the other link I wasnt able to copy it.
If it were a manufacturing defect if would have been there since the phone was made, since you said it 'appeared' it's a scratch
Manufacturing defects are covered by warranty, accidental damage is not.
Have you ever had a rock hit the windshield of your car and leave a little nick in it (not a crack, just a little divot where a tiny piece of the glass has chipped away? That's what I mean by a chip. A nick. A piece of the glass that has been broken from the surface of the display.
As has already been stated, if it was a manufacturing defect, it would have been there since day 1. Since you said it appeared later, that means the glass came in contact with something hard enough to take a piece out of it.
Remove the screen protector you have installed over the glass. It's not possible to get an air bubble in glass.
As glass cannot spontaneously acquire air bubbles, I suggest that it is a tiny chip. Get a good magnifier on it and see if it's remotely spherical.
I agree with tonefox. It's hard to say given the size and resolution of the picture, but that looks like a chip to me.
Any1 experiencing the same thing?
