Q: In which metadata field could I see whether a picture is RGB or CMYK?

I would like to get a warning - or even better start a conversion when an ingested image in Final Cut Server is in colour mode CMYK. As I'm using these images in video I need them to be RGB.

Does anyone knows a workflow for this?

Or does anyone knows whether this information is available in the metadata how I can make this metadata visible?

Thanks, Henk

You can "map" a feild to this metadata, but only if it is embedded in the file itself, which isn't a universal.

FCP and motion graphics apps work with CMYK, changing that metadata won't change or help anything.  It's simply metadata, it has no effect on your NLE at all.
