sync photos at full resolution

Is it still possible to sync iphoto photos at full resolution with an iphone 4 and/or iPad? I've read in past threads that there used to be a checkbox to explicitly say that you wanted the full resolution image to sync rather than and "optomized" version. This checkbox was located in the "Photos" screen in itunes. I can't seem to locate it. Has it moved somewhere else? or has the feature been removed? Thanks in advance.

Just to be complete I'm using iTunes 10.2.2, iPhone 4 ( iOS 4.3.3 ), MacOSX 10.6.7. The reason I'm asking is becasue I really like some of the photo editing tools on iOS and would like to use them on full resolution images from my SLR.

The solution I came up with was to purchase an Eye-fi card. Full resolution images from my SLR (Nikon D90) are now available in my camera roll.
