Keyboard not responding

My daughter spilled water on her Macbook Pro keyboard and several of the keys stopped working. I installed a new keyboard, but the problem is not resolved. The same keys in fact do not work. Is there any way to pinpoint exactly what may be causing the problem, since I know that it can't be the keyboard itself?

What happens if you plug an external keyboard in and use that?

OK, then I would say you have an issue with the logic board. Water might have got near the part of the circuit board that controls the keyboard and shorted something out. I would say you may need a new logic board. Have you got homeowners insurance? That may cover it.
