  • To set up CalDAV support for Google Calendar in Apple's iCal, follow these steps:

    1. Open Apple iCal, go to Preferences and then the Accounts tab.
    2. Click on the + button to add an account.
    3. In the box that pops up, enter a description for the account and your Google Account username and password.
    4. Under Server Options, add the following URL:
      https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM/user//www.google.com/calendar/dav/YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM/user
Replace 'YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM' with the email address that you use to log in to Calendar. Make sure to include the '@domain.com' portion (which is @gmail.com for Gmail users) in this section.
DO NOT substitute your username for 'user' at the end of the URL.
    5. Leave the Use Kerberos v5 for authentication option unchecked.
    6. Click Add.
    7. Under the Delegation tab, select the calendars you'd like to add to iCal by checking the boxes next to them. You may need to hit refresh to get the latest list of calendars.
    8. Add your email address to your Address Book card by selecting Add Email. You'll be prompted to add your email address only if your address is not already in your Address Book.
  • You won't be able to invite or email guests to Google Calendar events within iCal if your address is not in your Address Book.

  • Your Google Calendar will now appear in iCal's list of calendars, and changes you make to your Google Calendar in iCal will be reflected when you sign in to Google Calendar.

  • Event information will automatically refresh every five minutes. You can change this interval by opening the iCal > Preferences > Accounts menu and selecting a new refresh interval under the 'Refresh calendars' drop-down. Keep in mind you can also force a refresh by selecting a calendar and pressing the Apple and R keys at the same time.

  • Calendars that are checked but disabled have already been added to iCal - you can remove them from within iCal.

Hi.

I've have an MacBook and an IPhone so i have to sync in a triangle (IPhone, Macbook and Google Calander). It's not the most optimal solution but it works fine, and even Apple Care couldnt give me an answer about this problem. So what did i do.

1: Go to: https://www.google.com/calendar/iphoneselect

2: Select all the 'sub' agenda you would like to sync. Then these will automatically sync with your Iphone.

If you also have the ICal program on your computer:

3: Go to 'Preferences' in ICal > Accounts > Delegate

4: Select all the 'sub' agenda you would like to sync

Then to prevent your devices/programs/agendas to re-sync eachother. I have the following settings:

- ICloud: you can turn this on or off, doesn't make a difference

- ITunes: Sync Calenders > Selected Calendars > xx@Gmail.com

Good luck

I realize this is an old thread, but it's the most recent I could find here that directs you to put

https://www.google.com/calendar/dav/YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM/user

under Server Options in the iCal Accounts Preferences.

I'm running iCal 4.0.4 on OS X.6.8 and there is no Server Options choice in iCal 4. I have Server address and Server path.

User uploaded file

If I attempt to put that path (with, of course, my own email address) in the Server address window it reverts back to www.google.com and if I put it in Server path (which would seem to make sense) it insists on truncating it to

/calendar/dav/YOUREMAIL@DOMAIN.COM/user

And, yes I checked to see that the rest of the info wasn't hidden inside the window. It really does cut off the beginning as if there's a text limit for the server path in this window.

I'm trying to sync my Droid to my iCal and this seems to be the first step, but nowhere can I find the correct information for iCal 4.

Any ideas?
