Would anyone be able to possible offer a solution for a problem I have with a second generation iPod touch. On Monday I decided to erase all the content and reset it to factory settings, unfortunately whilst it was reseting itself the battery ran out. When I realised this had happened I connected it to an iMac to recharge, the computer now no longer recognizes the iPod in iTunes and the Apple logo is displayed on the iPod screen. The problem I have is the home key is broken and so I cannot reset the iPod by holding the power button then the home key to reset it.

I have spent a good many hours searching online for a solution and I can not seem to find one, I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of how to reset the iPod?

Any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

iPod touch
