Sync ipad and laptop

Just got a used iPad. I have an iPhone 3g & a iTunes account. How do I sync the music and files from my iPad to my laptop? What cables and software do I require? Thank you for the help.

Did you not receive the dock connector cable that comes with the iPad when you purchased this one? I do not have an iPhone but I have an iPad and an iPod Touch. If you do not have the connector cord that comes with the iPad, use the dock connector cable that you use for your iPhone (I think it will work).

You already have an iTunes account so you are good to go there. No additional software required.

It is the same process as syncing the iPhone or and iPod Touch. Connect to computer, launch iTunes, click on the iPad's name on the left sidebar in iTunes, then select the corresponding tabs across the top of the iTunes window for music, apps, photos, books etc. Select the stuff you want to sync under those tabs and sync.

Not sure which iPad you have - the original or the 2 - but you can download the manual here.
