Bluetooth pairing with iPhone 3gs broken

As tethering the new macbook pros via an iPhone and a USB cabled is now broken, I tried tethering via the bluetooth connection.

Unfortunmately, I couldn't get my macbook pro and iPhone to pair.

I manged to pair my iphone with my old black macbook (spring 2007 model) which leads me to think that the problem is macbook related.

I also tried the same procedure with my wife's iphone - couldn't get it to pair with the new laptop, only the oled one.

I have the latest macbook pro (winter 2011 13 inch Core i5).

Anyone else experiencing this?

Any ideas or advices on how I could solve this plese?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.6.7), 2.3 GHz Core i5, 4GB Ram, 750 GB HD
