application 'Skype' is not supported!

Hi all

Upon opening Skype I did an update via the same application. After installation the icon now has a cannot be used sign (white circle with a white diagonal line through it on top of the app itself) Upon double clicking I get the following message;

You cannot open '... the application 'Skype' is not supported on this architecture' Nothing has changed with the system I've been using skype on. The update seems to have disabled the ability for the app to run on my iMac Power PC 1.9, OS 10.5.8. 2.5GB RAM

Any suggestions

Tony

Thee latest update is for intel only, try and revert to an earlier version:

Download Skype 2.8 for Mac if your computer or operating system does not support Skype 5.1. Find out more about compatibility.
