Error message while saving. he movie contains an incorrect time value

When I trim a movie using Quick Time Player 10.0 and then try to save it, I get the following error message

“The document “movie name. mp4” could not be saved as“movie name.mov”. The movie contains an incorrect time value.”

Any ideas how to solve this? Thanks
