Digitally signing mail sent from iPad

I need to send digitally sign email, which I do regularly from Apple Mail on my MBP by clicking on the little icon on the New Message window. I emailed the .pfx file to myself as an attachment and opened it on the iPad. This saved the certificate under Settings>General>Profile>My Name. However, I can't find any option/icon to digitally sign mail when sending from the iPad. Is there a solution? I have the iPad 2, iOS 4.3, and a .me mail account.

Go to Settings>Mail,contacts, calendars.

Scroll down and tap signatures. Edit away.

This will affect all accounts you use on your device.

That seems to be only for modifying "Sent from my iPad". There's no option for a digital signature -- using a certificate issued by a CA (certifying authority) with a public/private key, which is what I use when sending mail from Apple Mail on my laptop.
