I want to use my pc as a source (itunes) to play music to my ATV2. I have home sharing on but do I need to enable airplay on the pc? airplay is enabled on ATV2.
I have a set of speakers working off my pc but want to listen on my surround sound set up which the ATV2 is connected to as well.

To send content to the Apple TV or stream from iTunes on your PC you need to enable homesharing from the iTunes advanced menu and then enter the same details in settings/computers on the Apple TV. Once enabled iTunes will show the Apple TV as an Airplay device from the bottom right hand corner of its window.
