Cutaway option gone

I'm using iMovie '11 on Mac Pro running Snow Leopard. I've used it before on my Macbook without any problems, but on a new project I'm unable to see the cutaway option. When I drag another clip to the timeline all I get are replace, insert, and audio only options. Nothing for cutaways, green screen, blue screen, or anything else. Did I miss something when creating the project? Thanks for your help.
