When I capture movies in iMovie each individual clip comes into iMovie but in FCE all the clips are downloaded as one clip. Is there some way to have them downloaded like they are in iMovie?

I assume we are talking mini DV??
If we are, then yes, FCE has a DV Detect function that will let you separate the start/stop points that exist on the tape.

Thanks Al, I'm just learning FCE and your suggestion certainly helped. Once I run the DV Detect it shows me the separate start/stop points. Is there a way to get them to show up as separate files?
