I HAVE THIS PROBLEM TOO. DRIVING ME CRAZY. WILL NOT LO INTO YOUTUBE OR ITUNES AND ALSO WHEN STARTS UP IT CANNOT SET DATE & TIME SO ASKS YOU TO TEST NETWORK WHICH INVOLVE LOGGING INTO ITUNES WHICH DOESNT WORK!!! APPLE HAS TO SORT THIS OUT!
I solved my problem!!! I asked my internet service provider to check which ports were blocked on their server. They found many! I told them about my ID log problem not being able to log onto the Apple site with Apple 2 TV. I asked them to open all ports which solved the problem.
I am having the same problem Apple tv hangs on the screen setting date and time. Reset everything, followed every thread religiously. Phone a local IT specialist all to no avail this is a serious issue that needs addressing, Please Apple respond.
Add me to list as well. Admittedly, I do live in Dubai and have sorted out the various AppleID and credit card issues – at least to the satisfaction of AppleStore. However, I'm having the same problem with my AppleID not being accepted by appleTV. This is particularly frustrating as the Home Network was the main reason I bought it.
