Display distortion when using 3M privacy filter

I'm using the latest Macbook Air 13". When I put on a 3M Privacy Filter, I see diagonal strip on the display. It seems like the frequecy is not compatible between Macbook air display and the privacy guard. Anyone have resolution on this?

MacBook Air, Mac OS X (10.6.7)
