For the last few months each time I prepare a message in Mail that takes more than a minute or so to compose the program saves a draft in the drafts folder. Once I have sent the message the draft remains, forcing me to manually delete it. The message also shows up in the Sent folder as it should. Is there a way to force Drafts to not save messages once they have been sent? Thanks.
By setting up a Rule? Not sure if that will work, as I never used Rules plus I deleted my Draft folder.
I have the same problem. And copies of sent messages also show up in the draft folder after they have been sent. Any advice anyone? This problem appears a couple of months ago. I have snow leopard and keep my software updated.
Is your account configured to save drafts on the server or locally?
If the former, try the latter. It's possible that if your connection to the server is a bit dodgy, Mail might be having trouble.
